Privacy Policy

FixForge · Forge Metrix LLC

FixForge is a digital product owned and operated by Forge Metrix LLC. This policy describes personal information handled when you use the FixForge website and application, including on mobile browsers, and how to contact us about privacy. Forge Metrix LLC is responsible for its handling of that information.

Effective date: October 22, 2026 · Last updated: October 22, 2026

1. Information you provide

  • Account information: Email address, account identifiers, sign-in information, and authentication records used to create and maintain access. Passwords and password-reset requests are processed by our authentication service.
  • Project information: Photos, descriptions, equipment details, error codes, measurements, tools, materials, skill levels, diagnostic answers, and feedback submitted for repair or build guidance. Photos and descriptions can contain personal information or information about your home or possessions.
  • Support correspondence: Name, email address, subject, message, and associated account identifier when you contact us while signed in.

Only provide information you have permission to share. Avoid uploading passwords, financial information, identity documents, or unnecessary images of people, addresses, or other sensitive details. You can omit or remove those details before submission.

2. Technical information, analytics, and browser storage

The service and its infrastructure may process IP addresses, browser and device information, request times, service interactions, error reports, and security or access logs to deliver, troubleshoot, and protect FixForge. Operational logs may include portions of submitted information or AI responses when needed to diagnose failures. These records can support reliability and usage analysis.

FixForge's application currently has no dedicated advertising or behavioral-analytics integration. This does not mean hosting or service providers collect no operational information. If we introduce additional analytics or advertising tracking, we will update this notice and obtain consent where legally required before activating tracking that requires it.

Browser local storage and session storage maintain sign-in state, password-recovery state, saved project results, shopping-list state, and feedback preferences. Some information may persist until you clear browser storage, while session information is generally scoped to the browser session. Clearing storage may remove saved results or sign you out; it does not automatically delete server-held records. Browser privacy controls can restrict storage, but some functionality may stop working.

3. How we use information and handle email

We use information to provide account access, generate and restore guidance, save diagnostic records, respond to support requests, investigate failures, prevent abuse, improve service reliability, and meet legal obligations. Your project input is needed to tailor guidance; you may choose not to submit it, but the associated feature may not work.

Account email addresses are used for sign-in, account verification where applicable, password recovery, and necessary service or security communications. Contact submissions are stored and may be sent to our support inbox through our email-delivery provider so we can respond. This policy does not itself enroll you in marketing email. Any optional promotional email will be subject to applicable consent and unsubscribe requirements.

4. Project photos and AI processing

Selected project photos are compressed in your browser and transmitted with relevant project details to FixForge's server and the Lovable AI service to generate guidance or inspect components. AI processing is not performed solely on your device. Submitted diagnostic text, answers, and outcomes may be saved for your signed-in account; project results and preferences may also be saved in your browser.

Providers may process request content and related logs under their own service terms and retention practices. We do not promise that provider systems never retain inputs or that inputs are excluded from all provider improvement processes. Do not submit content you are not comfortable having processed by these services. AI responses may reproduce information you included; be careful when sharing generated results.

5. When information is shared

Information is handled by hosting, authentication, database, AI, email-delivery, and operational-support providers as needed to operate FixForge. Authorized personnel may access relevant information to provide support, troubleshoot, protect the service, and administer requests. Those providers may have access to information needed for their functions.

We may disclose information when required by law or a valid legal process, to protect rights or safety, to investigate fraud or abuse, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or business transfer subject to applicable privacy protections. Information may also be shared when you direct us to do so. Following a product link takes you to an independent retailer that may receive referral or affiliate information and collect information under its own privacy policy. See our affiliate disclosure.

6. Retention and deletion

Account information is generally retained while an account remains active and as reasonably needed afterward for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and recordkeeping. Saved diagnostic records, support messages, email correspondence, and operational logs may be retained for their respective service, support, security, and legal purposes. Retention depends on the information, its purpose, legal obligations, and the applicable provider's settings; this policy does not promise a single fixed retention period.

You can request account closure or deletion of personal information through the contact details below. We will assess and process requests under applicable law, including identity verification and any lawful retention exceptions. Some records may need to remain for legal obligations, fraud prevention, or resolving disputes. Backup and provider-held copies may remain until their applicable deletion or rotation processes complete; deletion is not necessarily immediate. Clearing browser storage separately removes locally saved information.

7. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent for processing based on consent; or opt out of certain data uses where those uses and rights apply. To exercise a right or ask about our data practices, use the contact details below. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity or an authorized representative's authority. Do not send your password or recovery link.

We will respond within applicable legal time limits, explain any lawful denial or limitation, and provide an appeal process where required. We will not discriminate against you for exercising protected privacy rights. You may also complain to the privacy regulator in your jurisdiction. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing already lawfully performed.

8. International users and legal grounds

Information may be processed in countries other than your own by Forge Metrix LLC and its service providers, where privacy laws may differ. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, those requirements apply to the relevant processing. Contact us for information about applicable transfer arrangements.

Where a legal basis is required, processing may be necessary to provide the service you request, fulfill legal obligations, or pursue legitimate interests such as service security and reliability, subject to your rights. Processing that legally requires consent will rely on that consent. The applicable basis depends on the information and purpose.

9. Security and children

We use account authentication and access controls to help protect information. No internet transmission, storage system, or security measure is completely secure. Keep your account credentials private, sign out on shared devices, and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

FixForge is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action under applicable law. Additional local age or parental-consent requirements may apply.

10. Policy updates and contact

We may update this policy as the service or applicable requirements change. The date above identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated through the service or another reasonable method where required, and consent will be obtained where necessary.

For privacy questions, requests, or account assistance, contact Forge Metrix LLC at contact@fixforge.app or use the FixForge contact page. Please describe your request and the account email involved without including sensitive credentials.
